Can’t Sleep? Try My Tips.

I’ve been talking to friends and family members who have been complaining of lack of sleep and I always ask them what they were doing prior to going to bed. The majority of those I ask usually have the same answer… “watching the news.” With all that’s going on in the news, it’s no wonder folks can’t sleep. If the news is keeping you awake, quit watching it. I turn off the TV and turn my devices an hour or two before I go to bed so I’m not dwelling on things beyond my control. It’s hard enough trying to fall asleep faster with chronic pain, I don’t need to add to the stress.

Can't Sleep? Try My Tips.

There are quite a few things I do that helps me fall asleep faster including the following:

1. Avoid naps
2. Take a soothing bath
3. Read
4. Sip on hot apple cider
5. Spray lavender scented oil on pillowcases
6. Turn AC on 70 degrees
7. Turn on loud fan
8. Stay awake as long as you can before heading to bed
9. Unplug phone, devices, TV
10. Take sleep dietary supplement

Can't Sleep? Try My Tips.

All of these are pretty much self-explanatory but I’d like to mention Sweet Sleep by Body Software. I started taking this dietary supplement about 2 weeks ago, and I’m falling asleep so much faster than I used to. I’m also staying asleep longer which is rare because of my chronic pain. I prefer an all natural approach to anything I ingest so I’m really pleased with the results. The best part of all is it’s nonaddictive. I take 2 capsules a day as needed and I’m sleeping like a baby.

To be honest, I have started taking a new allergy medication. It has helped me to get to sleep a lot faster. With it I am sleeping well through the night. But, if if starts to not work, I will keep this in mind.

I love having a nice cold room when I go to sleep. Because of stress I haven’t been sleeping well lately either and this list is a great reminder of simple things I can do to help.

The news is definitely the wrong thing to watch before bed. Things are way too crazy right now to try to go to sleep on that. I like to relax with a random fun show before I go to bed. Something to keep me in good spirits and just tune out.

These are great tips! For me a glass of warm milk and switching off electronic devices an hour before bed helps.

I’ve always had trouble with insomnia. I don’t remember what it’s like to fall asleep before midnight…or 4AM.

I don’t normally have a hard time falling asleep, but when I do have a hard time, I spend hours tossing and turning. I need to keep this sleeping aid in mind for those long nights when I can’t seem to shut my brain off.

I too face difficulties in getting a proper sleep. I usually sleep at 2 in the night, and I think it is the worst habit ever. I am planning to follow your tips.
