I suffer from hip and joint pain, in the worst way. I had back surgery many moons ago and because of the extensive work that was done on my back and the rod keeping it straight, my joints do not function properly. This has been an ongoing problem and it continues to worsen. To make a long story short, I have about an inch/inch & a half gap where there shouldn’t be, in my SI joint. Oh evil one….

When someone suffers from hip pain, or even knee pain for that matter, it feels like the world has stopped. For me, it was especially hard to adjust to because I’m hyper by nature. I didn’t know about TimeToHitPlay.com back when my troubles began, to help guide me in what treatment options I have. Having hip replacement surgery could possibly an option but if not, Hit Play can help guide me in what options are available for my hip pain.

The adults in my immediate family understand when I can’t make it to events, but the kids don’t. I’ve been known to just put on a brave face for them and take them places to try to please them with my pain being as high as a 9 (10 being most severe). Having hip replacement surgery would make the world of difference for me. I would have pain relief which I’ve not had in years, not even for a minute out of my days. I’d have improved mobility to keep up with all of the activities I used to participate in. And of course, I’d have more freedom to pursue everyday activities such as walking and climbing stairs. I always took these activities for granted until they became unbearable to perform. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to tell family and friends that “I’ll just sit this one out” when they are participating in activities I’m unable to do because of mobility issues or pain.

I love cooking and baking with the kids. I’ve had to cut down on the time I spend doing that and it’s not easy because the kids enjoy it as much as I do. I also love hiking and travelling. It’s been many years since I’ve been able to do that without severe pain. There are so many things in my life that I’m missing out on and the thought of being able to change that has me on top of the world. I’m ready to reconnect with family and friends and take back the power of my life. If you’re like me in that you don’t want to spend your life on the sideline, “Hit Play” on your life and rejoin your family and friends in the things you love.

The video makes your post even more real. I know a few people who have had hip replacement. Didn’t know that they were going through so much. Makes you understand people a little bit more. Wow! Sorry to hear that your hp pain is so severe.
