NewAir AH-470 Space Heater Review

shabby-chic-boho

I don’t like cold weather. I should be living in Hawaii but I’m not so I have to face the fact that it’s going to get cold here every year and I’m just going to have to deal with it. Brrrrr… I have central heat and air but my vents are in the ceiling and it blows straight down over my desk area. It can get stifling hot in no time at all. Warm is good, hot is bad. I’ve been searching for a small heater that I could use by my work station, and, go me, I found a Flat Panel Micathermic Space Heater. I have limited living space and I have to keep that in consideration when I need anything at all. While I have really tall ceilings, my floor space can become so crowded, what with all of the kids toys and furniture and everything else we need for daily living. I needed a heater that could accommodate my rather small attached city home & could put out enough heat that I would only need one.

I haven’t had any problems with the kids touching the surface of the heater while it’s in use but they are older (6 to 11) and mind really well. The top of the heater gets warm and I’ve touched it to make sure it wouldn’t burn them prior to putting it in their play area. They don’t even pay it any attention, there are always too many fun things going on for that. You’ll want to monitor it if you have small children.

The panel is so easy to read and the temperature is quick and easy to adjust. It also has a timer that I always set in case we dash out to dance practice or to go watch a game (and everywhere else we need to be that I always forget about until the last minute).

The heater is so thin that I can slide it next to my desk when I’m not using it and when I am, it doesn’t take up any space so I have plenty of room to move about. This heater is so light and so easy to move around with the rolling coasters. I often put it in the area where the kids are always playing on their tablets, games or watching TV because it’s close to the door they are always in and out of and goodness knows, even in this chilly willy weather, they never shut the door when they run out to play, lol.

As you can see, this heater can fit anywhere you need it to whether it be in your home, your man cave, a shop, basement, garage… pretty much anywhere you need warm heat but don’t have the room for a large space heater.

I especially like that it’s super quiet because the kids would not be happy little campers if they couldn’t hear their favorite shows on TV, or God forbid, their critters on Farmville.

This heater has already become one of my favorite and highly recommend products and would be perfect for any home, large or small. It puts out more heat than I ever thought possible and it’s so quiet that I can’t even tell it’s on other than the fact that it keeps us toasty warm. We all love the remote control feature because we’re a remote control family. Who isn’t these days? I’m extremely pleased with my new space heater and I’m sure it will last and outlast year after year. This is my first NewAir product but it won’t be my last.

Be sure to check out the company and more details on this product (they have something for everyone and if you are indecisive about what to get someone on your Christmas gift giving list, let me recommend a NewAir AWC- 270E – 27 Bottle Compressor Wine Cooler) .

I love how thin it is. We have a couple of space heaters that I actually want to get rid of because they’re older and get SO hot to touch when they’re on. Something like this sounds perfect.

Ooo! This looks so cool! I would use it outside when my best friend comes over. We like to hang out, drink iced tea and talk all night. It’s a summertime favorite and even though our winters here in California are mild, we’re very fussy hehe!

It’s so nice that it can still emit enough heat from a slim profile like that. A timer is a great feature to have on a space heater!

I would be able to use it for our basement! It starting to freeze out here and our heater makes too much heat upstairs so this portable one can balance it!

This is a great heater! I love the digital readout, and I love that it’s not an eyesore like a lot of space heaters.

I live in southern california so I really have no need for a space heater at all, and yet all i want to do is buy this one! Gosh, space heaters have seriously evolved since I’ve used one last. Digital?! Yes please!

I love how skinny that is! I need to find something like this for mom’s room since she is always cold. That way I can turn the thermostat off of 90!

I live in an apartment which does not have much floor space either. During the day the building lowers the heat and it gets cold in here–I live on the top floor! I would certainly use this in my bedroom near my computer! I definitely need something like this!! Will be checking it out within the week!
