Summer’s Hottest Outdoor Accessories
As the Summer sun rises over Atlanta, a visit to Rec Warehouse will help you maximize outdoor living space.

After the rain subsides in Atlanta, the sun peeks out from behind the Springtime cloud cover, and suddenly it is Summer. The flowers pronounce themselves to the world as they hold their beautiful petals up for all to see, the birds take flight and own the sky as they soar over the Buckhead skyline, and the sun beats down radiating its Southern hospitality on anyone who dares open their front door. Summer in the South holds a longstanding tradition of barbecues, pool parties, and fireflies. The outdoor spaces become an extension of a home since people flock outside to soak up every sun-drenched afternoon and starlit evening.

When you live in Atlanta, decorating your home should not stop at the boundaries of your home’s foundation. Instead, meticulous detail needs to be given to the gardens, the lawn, the patio, the backyard, the porch, and the deck. Make your entire property a liveable space, and you and your guests will start spending more time outside your home than you do inside of it. When you embrace this additional square footage, it is important to maximize utility and comfort with outdoor accessories. Outdoor kitchens, patio furniture, above ground pools, hot tubs, and misting fans all contribute to a more comfortable and enjoyable backyard atmosphere.

Here are some easy ways to embellish your outdoor space so you can relish in comfort all Summer long:

  • Add a full-size outdoor table and chairs to your deck or patio so you can enjoy a delicious meal outside with family and friends.
  • Create a gathering place for loved ones by installing an above ground pool. It will help you stay cool when the temperatures rise.
  • Make things sizzle while you grill up steaks or salmon in your very own outdoor kitchen.
  • An outdoor loveseat or glider paired with a misting fan will keep you refreshed and comfortable through the warmest Summer months.
  • Relax and unwind at the end of a long day by sliding into the tranquil waters of your very own hot tub.

I have never visited a Rec Warehouse. As a Southerner in Atlanta as well, this is the perfect time to entertain. We will definitely check them out.

We used to have a REC Warehouse in my old town (Charlotte, NC) and they had some of the BEST stuff! I had totally forgot about that place until you mentioned it!

I am SO ready for the summer! I am from the South and I always loved going to the pool and going to cookouts. Now that I live in the midwest in a big city, things haven’t really changed much. I still love hanging out at the pool and cookouts, but I also love going to all of the city festivals!

The best part of summer is lounging in your yard. We bought a patio set years ago and will need to get a new one. Thanks for sharing this lovely one.

A big umbrella for the sunny day as well. Summer is great for grilling and shakes. More outdoor activities too!

The best part about summer is no snow! Also I hate being cold in general so.. yeah, no snow, sunshine, not having to wear boots and jackets. I am happy that it’s finally starting to get warmer up here.

One of my favorite things about spring and summer in the south is hanging outside on our patio. This reminds me, I need some new cushions lol. That is a lovely patio set. Maybe it’s time to just upgrade my whole patio…
