4 Things We’ve Learned From The Pandemic

4 Things We've Learned From The Pandemic

Oh, COVID. You’ve given us a run for our money. It’s not over yet – I know – but I think that this pandemic has already taught us a lot. Here are four things we’ve learned from the pandemic, so far. If anything good comes out of this, I hope that it is that we continue learning and growing. What have you learned during this time? Here are a few things I’ve learned:

Community Is Important

Why did it take us to the point of basically losing our community to really appreciate it? I am not sure, but boy am I thankful for my community and I’ve realized how important your people really are. In addition, we have really lost a lot by not being able to regularly meet new people. Without communities, we would live very isolated lives with minimal to no contact outside of our immediate social circle. Getting outside of our close-knit group, and meeting new people is an essential part of cultivating a self-fulfilled life! It allows us to support one another, interact, share experiences and our modern life struggles. Having this open bond with others is what builds valuable relationships, and gives us a deeper sense of belonging. Communities are also rich in resources. Your strengths may be someone else’s weaknesses and vice versa. With the diversity of skills, common goals can be achieved that much faster! These are just a few – of many – reasons why community is so, so important. If you didn’t know it before the pandemic, I am sure you know it now.

There Is A Lot That Is Uncovered When We Are Still

When we actually take the chance to be still, we are able to listen and we are able to see. Now, I’m definitely not saying that any of the things that have come to light are true or not, but it’s obvious that there is a lot that we do not know – a lot that we are not seeing. I would say that a great thing about this pandemic has been the fact that we have started opening our eyes. To racism, to our healthcare system, to trafficking in the US, and so much more. Just as things are coming to light in the world, a lot can also come to light in your own house and your own life when you take the opportunity to be still, slow down, and really open your eyes to what is going on around you.

We All Have Too Much In Our Homes

4 Things We've Learned From The Pandemic

Being home for longer than ever, I learned how much I have in my home that I really do not need. If you are in the same position as me, work towards getting rid of it to reduce your clutter – and your stress right along with it! Go through your closets and donate your clothes and shoes, go through the kids’ old toys and sell them on Facebook marketplace, and then go through your bathroom and toss your old makeup, organize your storage space, and sell your jewelry that you do not need anymore. Prestamos por Oro is a great place to start, if that is of interest to you! They are located out of Atlanta, right off of Lenox Road, in Buckhead. They offer low-interest collateral loans for valuables like jewelry, gold, diamonds, and more. You can get your cash the same day without credit or background checks. All you have to do is schedule an appointment, bring in your item(s) + your credentials from any country, and leave with your cash! Easy, peasy.

The “COVID-15” Weight Gain Is Real

I cannot start this paragraph without leading with a big fat “LOL!” It’s so true, though. The COVID-15 weight gain is real. A lot of us started out strong, thinking that we were going to do at-home workouts…and maybe you were one of the people who stuck with it. If so, I give you ALL the props! But, most of us are very familiar with the COVID-15 weight gain. If you are, just know that it’s okay and that so many of us are in the same exact boat. You look great!
