DIY Cold Sensor, BlindSpotz #Giveaway

DIY Cold Sensor, BlindSpotz #Giveaway

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Review Wire Media for BlindSpotz.

The older our home becomes, the draftier it seems to be.  Or maybe I just feel the drafts more because my body is aging and my skin is thinner.  Whatever the problem is, I’m feeling drafts around my windows and doors and other areas in my home.  And I don’t even want to get started on my crazy high electric bill. However, like a lot of you, I’m on a budget. I don’t want the expense of having every inch of my home reinsulated so I did the next best (and a less expensive choice) and ordered some BlindSpotz to take care of my own cold spots myself. There aren’t many things I can do by myself but using the BlindSpotz cold sensors were a piece of cake.

Not only am I warmer now, but my electricity went down this past month because we addressed some issues that we needed to.  I’m certain if we keep looking, we’ll find more cold spots to insulate. I’m doing a few rooms at a time and it’s so much cheaper to find the areas that need insulating than it would be to have to hire a contractor like we had originally planned.

  1. This is such a smart idea! My house isn’t old but I do think there are drafty spots and spots where it’s definjtiy colder. I need to check these out!!!

  2. Oh wow! This is an awesome innovation. I would rather get this than to hire someone to tell me where the cold spots in my house are. Very economical and easy to use.

  3. This is the first time I’ve heard of this product and honestly, I think it’s awesome and convenient. It’s so easy to use and it helps you get the job done so much easier!

  4. This sounds like a great way to find drafts in your home. This is much cheaper than hiring a contractor.

  5. This is neat. I think the tech who did our energy audit used a similar product. Really amazed at how it was able to detect those areas where cold air was seeping in and help us cut our energy costs a tad.

  6. Going to show my husband this and see how we can improve our heat efficiency in our own home. Who doesn’t want to stay warm and save money all at the sametime.

  7. This is a great way to find out where the cold spots are. I was shocked at how much higher my electric bill was last month after having a much colder than average January.
