Bistro Table & Porch Refresh

From drab to fab. D.I.Y. Bistro Table & Porch Refresh with Mean Green.

I’m so excited because the apartment I’ve been on the waiting list for (forever) is now down to 1 person before me. I’m going to have a front porch and a back porch, and unlike here, they’ll both be private. That’s a pretty big deal because I’m an outdoor person. So, with an end in sight, I ordered the cutest wicker rockers with a table for my front porch. They’ve not arrived yet, but I thought while I waited it would be the perfect time to get out my mean green and give my current front porch a sunny makeover. With some spray paint and my favorite cleaning products, I now have a fun place I can head outdoors with my laptop, which I really like. After taking some before photos, I was pretty ashamed that I let my little front porch space get so cluttered. I didn’t even have room to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air.

Feel my shame…

I love how clean everything turned out and how a few cans of spray paint brightened the space up. I threw away dead plants and bought a 4 tier shelf on Amazon to move the plants upward since outward space is an issue here. This table will go in the back at my new apartment (maybe here as well) and with some string lights, I can see myself sitting outdoors with my camera, a book, or even my laptop, day and night. All I need is a little cocktail (and tons of gnat and mosquito spray) to help me relax and enjoy the great outdoors. After a cold winter and a wet spring, I’m due for some outdoor time.

My to-do list isn’t over yet but I’m putting a dent in it. Spring cleaning accomplished indoors, and a porch refresh outdoors. Next up, I will be tackling my back patio and I can’t wait to find a way to make it look more spacious. The cleaning part will be easy of course, Mean Green to the rescue. And then, I’m going to scrub this Georgia red clay off my car tires.

Care to share? I’d appreciate a repin please and thanks.
