Hand-Painted Oil Portrait From Photo #paintyourlife

I recently had the wonderful opportunity to review an oil painting from paintyourlife.com and I decided to have a painting done from a photo of myself when I was young. I love how it turned out and I’ll let my kids fight over it when I’m gone (ha). BTW, how about that BAD haircut (thanks mom) and vintage dress? LOL. I actually just got a BAD haircut very similar to the one my mom gave me but that’s a whole other post and I can’t blame it on my mom this time.

It arrived packaged in excellent condition and I could tell that paintyourlife.com really takes pride in their shipping and handling. This is really important to me because no one wants to have to return something and have it redone. Least of all me.

Check out my video to see just how beautiful the portrait turned out. It’s so lifelike and so realistic, don’t you think?

My old photograph was in pretty bad shape when I sent it to them but they turned it into a beautiful new painting. I had the choice of selecting my artist by viewing the gallery to find one I liked. When you scroll over the paintings, it tells the artist name who painted it. After the artist painted my portrait, I could have had the option for edits. I didn’t see anything that needed to be changed so I gave my okay. I didn’t catch the eye color or I’d of had it changed. From my vintage portrait, my eyes look like a shade of green but they are actually blue. I still think the painting is priceless and everyone is in love with it. I’m going to have to get the kids together in a portrait now to have a painting made of them. I’ve got the perfect spot for it in my bedroom. I’d also love to have my dog and cat painted because they are my family as well.
