I received some Mealtainer Meal Prep Containers for review purposes for free or at a steep discount. I’ve been looking for a way to store my leftovers for freezing purposes. I wanted to find a set that would go from table to freezer to microwave. I love to cook especially when my pain level is high {failed back surgery}. Cooking and baking brings my stress level down which brings my pain level down. When I cook, I make enough for an army so I always have food that I need to store.

I was disappointed in the fact that these break at the corners. It does not affect the storage and freezing of the foods however and I’ve still recommended them to family and friends because I haven’t had any break where the food is stored. A big thumbs up from me goes to the fact that these containers are chemical free. There are three compartments for storing food. A large one as well as two smaller ones. Each container holds more than enough for a meal, in fact, for my small appetite, it holds two meals for me. These come in black with a white lid and I especially love that these are stackable. Living in a small studio apartment doesn’t leave much room for storing my kitchen essentials.

  1. well, happy they are chemical free, that’s important! love the containers because of the dividers, I don’t want my food flying all over the place and getting completely mixed together! I’d use these for leftovers at Thanksgiving when I steal all the food :p I’d also use it for on the go meals… very useful!

  2. I would use mine for my work week meals, it’s so hard to stay on top of your diet when you are so tempted to eat all the goodies around the office. I would love to pack my sweet potatoes and chicken for my desk lunches.

  3. I’ve been wanting to do this – prepare food beforehand and just store them in containers. This idea would be great especially now that school is back and we have a lot of busy days. Thanks for this.

  4. This would be a great help for my meal planning. I think it would help me stick to eating good healthy food because it’s ready to go.

  5. These containers are so nice. I could really use them, especially for my husbands lunch. I’m going to look at getting some of these!

  6. My husband wakes up at 4:30 in the morning as he work ten hours a day so I wake up with him every morning to cook his food for lunch and breakfast. I may grab some of them so I can pre-pack his lunches.

  7. I have to get more organized and try prepping my meals for the week ahead. Well, who am I kidding, I don’t cook all week, but at least 2-3/ week, I can plan ahead. hee-hee! Awesome containers.

  8. Yesterday was the first time I prepped a weeks worth of meals, It was a lot of work, but I like the idea that I don’t have to worry about what to eat. That’s too bad that the corners break. It could be come dangerous with kids! Besides that they look like great containers!
