I have always wanted to preserve my family’s culinary traditions and as fall approaches and our family Thanksgiving traditions are looming, I started looking for ways I could combine everyone’s favourite holiday recipes into one cookbook. I think it would make a special gift and everyone could take part in sharing their own creations with the rest of the family.
With a cookbook of memories on my mind, I went looking for different options and different packages to get started. While money was a bit of a concern, I didn’t let that hold me back on finding sites that could give me what I wanted. Time is of the essence although money isn’t so much. I would like to have my cookbook completed before the holidays. Even though there’s no place like home for the holidays, I enjoy travelling when the weather outside is cold and there are beautiful Christmas displays everywhere. I would like my cookbook to be completed before Christmas, so I wanted a company who could give me what I want at my time frame. This year, I have hopes of travelling to see snow because we don’t get snow here. I want to make snow angels and throw snowballs, lol.
I came across a couple of different places that make cookbooks to preserve our family recipes, but one, in particular, stood out. Writing The Soul uses personal memoirs to create lasting memories in all sorts of different way. They offer 6 different packages but the one that interested me the most is their cookbook of memories. It includes photos, captions, and so much more. It’s exactly what I envisioned when I decided to take on the task of creating my very own cookbook. I’m a tried and true Pioneer Woman wannabe. I love to cook. Creating recipes is so much fun that I consider it a hobby. I’m excited that I’m going to make my dream a reality and if you have any suggestions on what I should include in my cookbook, please leave me a message in the comments section. This is my first cookbook and I want it to be perfect.
Have you ever created a cookbook of memories?

I like both ideas, lol. I’ll have to check into an ebook cookbook as well. That way when I’m shopping, I can pull it up to see what ingredients I need.

This is really interesting, no I have not created a cookbook memoir before but love this idea. So glad you shared something that will help inspire me to create a memoir that I could hand down to my kids when they are older.
That sounds like a perfect way to capture memories and familial recipes all in one spot. Good luck with your endeavor.
I would love to do that for my kids. They ask for different baking recipes so I’d put in lots of desserts. ๐ Can’t wait to hear how it turns out!
