Protect Your Phone & Tablet with Gorilla Glass

I’m so clumsy and so is my youngest daughter. She just purchased a new mobile phone and dropped it on my bathroom tile and I guess you can imagine how devastated she was when her screen shattered. She should a bought a Smartphone with a Corning® Gorilla® Glass 4. I thought I had done everything I could to protect my tablets which I use more than I would a phone. I use my tablets for everything from text messaging to calls. I do not want to make the same mistake she did so I’ve been looking into stronger protection for my electronic gadgets. That’s how I became interested in Gorilla Glass and what it could do for me to put my mind to ease against my clumsiness. I didn’t realize how popular Gorilla Glass was until I started reading about it. I think what really caught my eye is that the latest version of the technology, Gorilla Glass 4, protects our devices up to 80% of the time and that’s a big difference in using Gorilla Glass or not. I’m sure you’ll want to take a minute to learn just What Makes Corning® Gorilla® Glass So Tough. It’s a really interesting and enlightening read. I’ve concluded that I will make all of my future purchases based on whether or not Gorilla Glass is used because the odds are in my favor. Gorilla Glass 4 performs up to 2x better than competitive glass designs in devices dropped from 3 feet high.
The first thing I did was to check to see if Gorilla Glass was used on any of my preexisting devices by checking out this link. I was disappointed with my find. I recently purchase a new tablet to go along with a tablet I bought last year and had I known if I’d of just done a little more research, I could have made the decision to by a Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet 2 with Gorilla® Glass. My models are not protected, neither one of them. That means I’m going to have to be extra careful with my new purchase because electronics do not come cheap and for someone as clumsy as I am, this is not good news. If you’re curious, Gorilla Glass is used for Smartphones, Slates/Tablets and Notebooks. Protect your future investments and do a little research prior to purchasing to be sure that they are protected by Gorilla Glass. Corning Gorilla Glass dramatically improves protection against drops.
