Samsung Health Tracks My Progress

October 19, 2017 By: Terri23 Comments

The older the kids get, the busier I get. Now, I’m not complaining about that but I am complaining that there aren’t enough hours in the day. And if I’m honest about it, I don’t even have time to get sick. I go and go and go until my get up is gone and I just can’t go anymore. I’m always so busy taking care of others, that I often have to remind myself that I need to take care of me too. Until this past week when I didn’t have any other choice but to rest until I felt better. Then I had a reaction to a shot and well, let me just say, I made a vow to myself that I would do better at taking care of my health. Because technology is a big part of my life, I started by seeing what apps my Samsung Phone has that could help me in that area.

After scanning through different apps, I found the perfect one. I didn’t even realize that all Samsung phones have a Samsung Health app. I blame my lack of knowledge about my new phone, on lack of time.  All this time I’ve been missing out on ways that Samsung Health tracks my activities, nutrition and sleep, and delivers insights based on my progress. This app really does help keep me motivated.

One of the best features Samsung Health has is it allows busy parents like me (and you) to see a doctor online via our Samsung devices. It only takes minutes to see a board-certified doctor and we don’t even have to wait for an appointment. How convenient is that? It doesn’t matter what hours you work because they are available 24/7. Online doctor consultations are covered by many top health plans. You can even get a prescription if needed, sent to your local pharmacy. New news is as of this month, Samsung Health will be launching specialty services such as nutrition and therapy services, by appointment.

Common Conditions treated with Urgent Care
Sinus infection
Cold/upper respiratory infection
Bronchitis
Sore throat
UTI (Urinary Tract Infection)
Yeast Infection
Cough
Eczema
Pink Eye/Conjunctivitis
Stomach Infection (Gastroenteritis)
Hypertension/high blood pressure
Flu

For me, sinus infections are always a problem. You may have ongoing issues like mine or you may not. However, even if you aren’t sick right now, with flu season on our heels, it’s great to know how to prevent getting the flu. You can ask an expert about tips on preventive measures you can start taking now.

If you have a Samsung device, there’s nothing for you to do. Samsung Health comes preloaded on your Samsung device. No download required! It’s just smart to take advantage of Ask an Expert’s service so go ahead and sign-up and use Ask an Expert on your Samsung phone.

FYI, people who sign up for Ask an Expert can earn Samsung rewards points, subject to the following terms and conditions: http://www.samsung.com/us/samsung-health/rewards-ask-an-expert.

Use Promo Code SAMSUNG1 to save $10 OFF of a doctor visit which is regularly $59, making it $49 with use of the code; expires 3/31/18.

It does look like a cool product. I am curious as to whether or not the doctors themselves would integrate it into their stuff as far as working with them. I don’t know of any doctor who uses that just yet.
