I knew this day would come. I’ve been preparing for it for some time now but that doesn’t mean it will be easy to let go of something that has brought me so many wonderful memories. Memories of my children and my adorable grandchildren. However, sometimes saying goodbye can be a good thing and I want you to keep this in mind as you continue reading my post.
I bought my wood rolling pins ages ago. Like way back when we had dinosaurs, that long ago. I knew there were more modern and better pins to roll my pastries and goodies but I thought by buying a new kind would make me unfaithful to my dear old wood rolling buddies. It turns out I was wrong and today, I’m saying goodbye to my old wooden rolling pins and I’m letting them retire in style with a bake-off. Not only that, but you’ll have a chance to retire yours because I’m offering a giveaway (below form).
Thank you Chefast for my product samples for review purposes.
The main reason it took me so long to depart from my old-fashioned rolling pins is that I knew how well they worked to make my favorite baking delights. I knew the right amount of pressure to add while rolling and I didn’t think I’d get that with any other kind of rolling pin. Thanks to Chefast, I’ve changed my way of thinking and baking with their Chefast Rolling Pin and Pastry Mat Set – The Ultimate Combo Kit. I still get the wood roller but I now have a smoother surface to roll with.
There are quite a few fun products included in this package deal. AND they’re Amazon’s Choice favorite product for cookie dough roller. As I mentioned I still have the wooden feel with the two rollers; a traditional 17” as well as an 8.5” rolling pin, while having the more modern silicone covering which is easier to clean than wood, is PBA free, they have a nice smooth rolling surface and, the foods don’t stick to the surface of the pin like sometimes happens with wooden rolling pins.
1 x 17-inch rolling pin with wood handles and non-stick silicone coating.
1 x 8.5-inch rolling pin with wood handles and nonstick silicone coating.1x dishwasher-safe and heat-resistant (up to 446°F) silicone pastry mat with measurements.
2 x stainless-steel cookie cutters in star and heart shapes.
Saying goodbye to my old wood pins isn’t easy for me, but as I put them away, I’m looking forward to making brand new memories with my new Chefast Silicone Rolling Pins set. Today is the kids last day of school until next year and we have so many delicious baked goodies to prepare and bake. I love that my baking time will be cut back by products that don’t stick, which always causes me to start over; remove the foods, wash, air dry, start over. That gives me more time to make crafts with the kids. We are a D.I.Y. project loving family.
One of my favorite things to make during the cold months is biscuits for breakfast. They’re delicious piping hot from the oven, or even with sausage gravy. Using my new silicone mat and rolling pins, helps me save time and mess. No more rolling on my counters anymore.
