Everything has already been done and blogged about. If you think that then you are leaving money on the table. Sure, there are loads of topics that are very saturated, but there are plenty that still has some space left for a well-made blog.
If you are thinking of starting a website, then with the right beginning, you can still make a lot of money. It takes hard work and dedication, but it is a great way to make a part-time or even a full-time income.
In this article, I will go over several topics or niches that you should be looking into when starting a new blog.
CBD oils
One of the most profitable topics that you can cover right now is anything related to CBD. Cbd is cannabidiol, the main compound found in hemp which is used to treat a number of conditions.
It is finally legal now thanks to the Farm Act of 2018. Hemp cultivation and processing are now allowed so CBD oil is being produced. Since it is not psychoactive like THC which is found in marijuana, it is exploding across just about every demographic.
Some might say that it is already too saturated, but there are areas to find an inroad into this hot niche. For instance, there are so many conditions that can be treated with it, that there are a lot of low hanging keywords.
People with anxiety, insomnia, chronic pain, inflammation, and even their pets are taking CBD now so there are plenty of articles to be written that can bring in the traffic.
Remote working
Unfortunately, it took a pandemic to wake people up to the benefits of allowing workers to do their job remotely. Now that there are more people doing their work from home, they are actively searching for tools to make them more productive and efficient.
There is a lot of software that you can promote. Anything from time management to home office accounting are items that people would love to know more about.
Not only that, but there are a lot of tips you can share that will help people overcome some of the struggles as they adjust to working from home.
There are so many angles to this niche that it is easy to really go narrow and focus on a small topic within the niche. Once you find the right one, you can dominate the SERPs.
Gardening
This is another niche that people will tell you is far too broad and way over-saturated. While they aren’t wrong, there is an increased awareness of being self-sustainable with food scarcity being a very real problem.
People are looking for ways to grow their own food so look for smaller niches within the gardening topic to focus on and you will find people. For instance, there is apartment gardening that may have some room for another well-done blog. Or, you could look into how to set up a community garden as more communities will be looking to use their unused space to help people grow small garden plots.
Within this niche, there are lots of ways to monetize your traffic. You can make your own downloadable product like an ebook on the type of gardening that you decide to focus on. There are also a lot of products you can promote as an affiliate and collect commissions from the sales.
Dog breeds
Pets as a topic are way too broad. And doing a blog about dogs, in general, may seem like niching down, but it really isn’t. What you can do is look for some specific breeds of dogs that are trending and there are not many blogs about.
Owners of those dogs will be looking for loads of information about their beloved breed and if you are providing it then they will become loyal readers.
Some breeds have a particular set of problems that arise. For instance, pugs have trouble breathing. Owners will be looking into tips to help their pug breathe better and live longer. Find the same types of problems for the breed you choose and write up a detailed solution.
Monetizing this niche is very easy. People love to spend money on their pets and each breed may have needs that only a few products can meet. You can promote everything from the right type of food to the beds they will sleep in. Plus all kinds of grooming gear specific to the breed.
