How to Get Ready for Your First Spiritual Awakening: A Guide

How to Get Ready for Your First Spiritual Awakening: A Guide

A spiritual awakening is not simply meditation. It’s a full-body experience. One of the most profound spiritual awakenings one can experience is the Kundalini Awakening, in which the dormant energy at the base of your spine rises through your central core, awakening each of the seven chakras and culminating in a state of enlightenment. It’s a well-documented experience, even in the scientific community, which has studied how brain patterns change during meditation and spiritual awakening.

The Spiritual Journey

The spiritual journey can be a long one, which is why it’s important to be patient and embrace each stage of the journey, which includes:

  • The calling, where you find yourself drawn to the spiritual experience. You may resist this calling, or you may need to take time to find the right path for you.
  • Finding guidance and starting your journey. Finding the right guide or guru is essential. Don’t be afraid to look again and again until you find the right path for you.
  • Introspection and illumination, where you turn your gaze inwards and work on finding the darkness that’s holding you back from enlightenment. Expect traps, pitfalls, and setbacks during this phase. It is easily the longest stage of the enlightenment journey.
  • Rebirth, where you achieve enlightenment.
  • Integration, where you incorporate the thoughts, feelings, and knowledge you gained during your spiritual awakening into your life.

How to Get Ready for Your First Spiritual Awakening

If you have been called onto a spiritual journey, you will need to prepare for the experience by:

Being Guided Through the Experience

You can do this by following enlightenment protocols like the Master Nick Eagle spiritual awakening guide, which outlines how to adapt your routines and approach to a more mindful alternative that prepares you for spiritual awakening. You can then continue, and either work directly with a guru or go on a spiritual retreat.

The goal of the journey is to ground yourself with sacred intention and find your core self.

Doing the Inner Work

To achieve a spiritual awakening, you need to commit to the inner work. This means actively exploring, identifying, and then dissolving any blocks in your psyche or emotional health. If you are struggling with concerns like anxiety, depression, or traumas from the past, you won’t be able to achieve a true spiritual awakening. That’s why it’s essential to do the inner work. This can be done through therapy, self-love practices, inner child work, shadow work, or body work.

Committing to the Soul Work

You will also need to commit to what’s known as soul work. This is a more passive process where you work on becoming more receptive. The goal is to open yourself up and surrender yourself to your true nature. This can be achieved through prayer, meditation, or similar practices. Only once you’ve done the inner work and soul work can you leave behind the fears that are holding you back from achieving a spiritual awakening.
