My name is Terri and shabbychicboho.com is my new online obsession. This site was made with love as is everything I put my heart and soul into. I’m a seasoned blogger dating all the way back to 2001.
I’m influenced by Downton Abbey, tea parties, real butter, made from scratch meals, homemade pies, chocolate covered strawberries and Green Mountain Breakfast Blend K-Cups coffee.
I was born in the wrong era, of that I’m convinced. I’m a child of the 60’s and my dream was to own a Victorian bed & breakfast. That was a dream that was snuffed out years ago due to complications with my health.
Being born in the 60’s era means I was born to a mother and father of different genders. My parents are still different genders, they still prefer the opposite sex, they divorced in my early years and have since decided they almost like each other. It only took them 30 years to realize this. They both remarried their one true love, which did not turn out to be each other and life is how it should be.
When I’m not posting reviews and informative posts, I have my nose in a book. I love to read and will read almost anything. Except housewife porn aka Harlequin Romance. And instructions.
I adore mixing and matching all things eclectic, retro, boho, gypsy, hippie, vintage, cottage, Victorian and Shabby Chic. I’m a girlie girl so style and fashion play a big part in my life as does home and garden decor. If I’m not dressing up, I’m rearranging the furniture a.g.a.i.n.
I love meals that take hours to prepare and that is exactly how long I spend on each meal I prepare in my tiny kitchen. I could never be a vegetarian because life without steak is just life without steak.
My top hobby is photography. Photography is the only hobby where I can shoot people and cut their head off legally.
I don’t know much about music except that I like it. I always have music on. I’m certain Luke Bryan would have married me in another life. You can’t convince me otherwise.
I’m a nurse by profession and a clean freak by nature. I had to retire early due to complications from failed back surgery. But don’t feel too bad for me, I got to meet all of you as a result of this ongoing tragedy.
I am a Christian which does not make me perfect. It simply means that I’m a sinner saved by Grace. My God, my Savior, my King.
I am and have always been useless in sports.
I plan to live forever. So far so good.
