Terri Ramsey Beavers I don’t know how many of you grew up watching Evel Knievel performing his daredevil stunt tricks, but I sure did. I can’t tell you how many times I held my breath watching him but I just couldn’t turn away. There was something kind of magical about him in that I believed he’s never really get hurt no matter how many times I hooped and hollered “DON’T DO IT.” Of course, as all good things do, his career came to an end and he passed away in 2007 from pulmonary disease, not from any of his stunts. These days, Robbie Knievel is filling in his father’s shoes.
There is a reason I’m sharing all of this as you can guess from my title. This year I got my grandson the Evel Knievel Stunt Cycle Trail Bike Edition (by California Creations) for Christmas and I wanted to share it with you. I can’t wait to see his little face when he opens his present. As much as I loved Evel Knievel, he loves watching Robbie Knievel perform his motorcycle stunts. And as I once did, he cringes and gets excited to the point he can’t look away during the stunts even though they can be scary to watch at times.
If you have a son (or daughter) who loves the whole era of Evel Knievel, this toy makes a great gift for those ages 5 to adult. It’s as easy as turning the handle to get the motorcycle as well as the Evel Knievel stunt rider to take off on a daring stunt.
