I love going to blog sites I follow and reading surveys or interviews to try to get to know who the real “slim shady” is so today, I’m going to answer some survey questions so you can get to know me a little better. I’m adding the survey at the bottom of my post in hopes you will take it and come back to leave your blog post URL so I can come and read your answers and comment on your post. 1. Name you were born with?

Terri. I think my parents must have been secretly wishing for a boy because they gave me a name that could be used for either gender.

2. Where were you born?

Kodiak, Alaska. My dad was in the service at the time. We moved when I was too young to remember it. I used to tell everyone I lived in an igloo. I was devastated when I learned that wasn’t true. I mean seriously. What kind of parents would deny letting their kids live in a freezing cold, ice home? *wink*

3. Birthday sign?

Taurus the Wandering Bull and it fits me perfectly.

Strengths: Reliable, patient, practical, devoted, responsible, stable

Weaknesses: Stubborn, possessive, uncompromising

Taurus likes: Gardening, cooking, music, romance, high-quality clothes, working with hands

Taurus dislikes: Sudden changes, complications, insecurity of any kind, synthetic fabrics

4. Briefs or bikinis?

Granny panties, baby. I don’t want anything bunched up, scrunched up, or shifting around down there.

5. What is the song you hear most often?

California Dreamin by The Mamas and The Papas.

6. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

Not certain if I should put a bad habit here or if it means something I don’t like about myself. I think I’ll just go with what causes me the greatest pain, my back. If I could change anything about myself, my back would be perfect. No reconstruction, no rods, no fusions, no pain 24/7.

7. What’s a great book you’ve read recently?

The Funhouse by Dean Koontz. Give me horror over sappy love stories, any day.

8. What’s your favorite thing about one of your grandparents?

My grandparents died before I was born. There’s actually a sad story surrounding my maternal grandmother. She disappeared when my mom and uncle were young. Foul play was believed to be involved. She was finally declared dead years later when her body couldn’t be found.

9. What’s your favorite smell in the whole world?

Cinnamon oil in my potpourri crocks. It’s the only scent in the world that makes me want to clean. I also love making cinnamon toothpicks with it and gnawing on them all day.

10. What’s the one food you could never bring yourself to eat?

Liver, definitely liver. I just about lost my stomach content writing this, just thinking about it. I do not eat organs.

11. A habit that annoys others?

12. What is the scariest movie you’ve ever seen?

Race with the Devil. I’m not sure if it would be scary now but as a young tween, it left a chilling effect on me. It is one movie I’ll never forget.

13. What’s the most useless talent you have?

Nail tapping. I can out-tap the best of them. *tap, tap, tippity, tap, tap, tap, ta, da, tap*

14. Would you rather spend five days exploring Disney or New York City?

New York City. I’ve been to Disney but never to NYC. It’s number 1 on my bucket list. I want to go during the Christmas holidays and ride a horse and carriage through Central Park.

15. What do you like to do on a rainy day?

Make homemade hot cocoa and watch Netflix curled under my quilt. I actually do this all day and night, until I eventually fall asleep.

16. What are your favorite finds and worst purchases you’ve ever made?

I’ll have to think about this one some more.

19. Who is the messiest person you know?

My youngest daughter. She’s really going to shoot me for this. I don’t know anyone messy :).

20. What quote or saying do people spout but is complete BS?

Life is short. Hello, life is the longest thing you will ever do.

21. What’s the first thing you do when you get home from a trip?

Strip and hop in the shower. I don’t want to bring home any germ. I then dump all my clothes in the washing machine to wash. I don’t want to slow down for illnesses so I avoid them by being careful. I go through entirely too many hand sanitizers, lol.

22. What sound or noise do you love?

I love to hear a train. I stay up at night just to see if I can hear one in some far-off distance. There’s something calming and soothing about a noisy rattling old train. I associate this with my love of train tour rides.

24. Are you a morning or a night person?

Depends on what time I’ve had my coffee. If I wake up and have some at 3 am, I’m good to go by 7. But generally, I love staying up all night watching movies or reading. So… night person?

25. What is your biggest addiction?

TV. Cable, Netflix, amazon prime, youtube, etc. I always have my TVs on and I’m either watching shows on cable or movies on my favorite movie apps on my smart TVs.
