Summer baking with Wilton

I love the outdoors but this year it’s been especially hot so I’ve been spending more time in my kitchen with my AC running and my stove baking some delicious treats and meals.  I got a new toy and have been playing with it on a daily basis. It’s a Diamond-Infused Non-Stick Navy Blue Baking Set, 7-Pieces from wilton.com. This set comes with a large, and medium baking sheet, an oblong pan, a 12-cup muffin pan, 2 round cake pans, and a loaf pan (ready for winter sourdough bread baking in my loaf pan).

Anytime I find products that I really like, I like to share them with you for gift ideas.  After using my set, I have to say that it would make the perfect gift for any occasion for the bakers in your life.

Before I show off some of my baked goods, I have to point out some of my favorite features of Wilton Bakeware products. First and foremost, the food doesn’t stick and secondly, I can bake a hen, wash the pan and make a dessert minutes later without the lingering taste or smell of what I cooked previously.

I’ve been using all of the delicious fresh-picked vegetables that I’m growing in containers for one-pan meals so I don’t have to spend all of my time cleaning up the kitchen.  That leaves more time for gardening and baking. This is my first summer garden and my first container gardening experience, so I’m proud of the veggies I’ve been able to grow.

Wilton bakeware is perfect for beginners or for those who are experienced bakers.  It has a nonstick finish, so it’s easy to wash with mild detergent and a cloth.  And the food doesn’t burn and (finally) my cakes turn out perfectly every time.  Of course that requires you to use the right temperature for nonstick plans and that you set a timer as well.  Before the end of the year, I hope to take and complete Wilton Virtual Cooking classes to learn how to make the things that still give me problems baking.

My cakes slide right out of my Wilton cake pans.  No sticking at all.

No scrubber is needed for washing the pans, even if you spill food all over the pans like I do when I’m in a hurry and not really paying attention as I should, such as when the cats are meowing for dinner, the dog wants to be walked, the kids are fighting, or someone is knocking on my door.

Or, sometimes, a mess can’t be avoided even when I’m having a calm day, especially when adding crumb topping to muffins.  Or maybe it’s just me that’s messy with toppings :).

I have several Wilton products because I really love this brand and the ease of baking with their bakeware. I just bought a couple more things from their website (I just can’t stop myself) that I’ll be sharing in an upcoming post as well.  I think you will like them.  Be sure to sign up for my newsletter so you don’t miss my next Wilton Bakeware post.

Have you bought any Wilton Bakeware sets?  I’d love to know what you purchased, if so.  If not, be sure to check out all of their individual pieces as well as their sets.
