If you’re like me, you struggle to find healthy after-school snacks that kids actually like. I’ve found some that are fabulous, and I’ve found some that are not. Today’s choice falls into the fabulous category. If someone would have told me that I could get the kids to eat cauliflower, and enjoy it without it slathered in cheese, I’d of been skeptical. So I understand if you are. However, I assure you that it’s now possible to get your kids to eat cauliflower healthy after-school snacks.
I received a couple of cauliflower snack packs to try and give my honest opinion on, and I have to be honest in that they sat on my kitchen counter greater than a week before I was willing to try them. I try everything first because I know what the kids will and won’t like. In the beginning, I couldn’t wait to receive these to try. I checked my mail daily until they arrived. And then I lost confidence in my decision.
Finally, I worked thru my own doubts and opened the pretzels. I set them out with a glass of milk, and some fun books for the kids to piddle with. And not one time, did they ask or complain about the cauliflower pretzels. Hallelujah. If my kids will eat them, yours will. And it’s not just about getting them to eat them that’s the issue here, it’s that they’re a healthier snack choice that I don’t have to push on the kids. They actually like the cauliflower snacks. There is a full serving of cauliflower vegetable in each pack and they are also in-line with the biggest food trends to-date i.e. gluten-free, vegan ingredients and… cauliflower of course!
These veggie-based snacks come in a variety of flavors including Sea Salt, Cheddar, and Nacho; and the Pretzels come in Original flavor in Sticks and Twists shapes. They’re not just for kids. I have a feeling that you’re going to enjoy them as much as your kid’s will. They taste like crunchy, delicious, cauliflower. Slip a pack in your own lunch box and feel better about the healthy choice you’ve made.
