All of you reading this will have some form of music that you class as your favourite, and even if it’s not, when those songs come on the radio at work, you can’t help but have a little singalong to them. So music touches us all in some way, shape, or form. We can all admit that we’ve got some songs that relate to some situations that we’ve been in life, whether that be good or bad. So when it comes to your music taste, you should think about the music that’s found all over the world, and whether you could vibe to something else. Everywhere you travel, they will have their own style of music for you to adapt to. The Spanish have their signature beat, the Greeks have their Stavros style sound, and the UK has…well everything. So we’re going to try and help you to open your mind to the funky music that’s out there so that you always have something that you can jam to, no matter where you are in the world!
Jamaica
Jamaica is one of the best places in the world. Despite all of the bad press that it might receive, more and more people are now heading there for a holiday destination. Now, if there’s one thing that you will notice when you do get there, it’s that the music just speaks to you. They have that whole steel drum Caribbean music vibe going on everywhere, and you just can’t help but feel relaxed whilst you’re there. Well, the white sand beaches and the cocktails on tap help as well. But we promise that if you visit this amazing country, the music will just speak to you. A lot of the carnival music is now creeping into Jamaica as well, which is where a whole culture is being built around one style of music and one event. Definitely worth seeing in a country like Jamaica if you can!
The US
The US is one of the best places that you can go to, if you want to hear a diverse range of music. It’s a popular country to travel to as it is, and you will notice that different states have different genres that they love. In Texas, you’ve got the country vibe that we love. Austin open mic nights are so popular with travellers and locals, just because the vibe of the event is so good. The drinks are flowing, and the country music just gets everyone up on their feet. In New Orleans, it’s well known for its jazz culture, with streets being dedicated to the amazing sounds that Jazz can produce. When you find the music states in the US, you really realise how fun they can be!
Japan
Japan is known for crazy things. From the bugs they eat to the crazy cities that are on the rise in terms of buildings. So to follow this crazy trend, Japan has been one of the birthplaces of K-Pop. Now, this is a weird type of music, but we can’t deny that it’s on the rise in terms of popularity. You really have to open your mind to this one to like it, but we do think it’s going to take the world by storm one day!
