Stocking my First Aid Kit with Comvita Kids

Stocking my First Aid Kit with Comvita Kids

I’m stocking up on products to help make it thru the winter illnesses that we often endure and I came across some new products (to me) that I decided to try. I wanted to share them with you because there’s no time like the present to be prepared for whatever comes your way.  With autumn starting in 2 days and winter on the way, there are going to be germs lurking around.  I specifically wanted to try this brand because they’re a healthier way to provide comfort when the kids are sick.  No artificial flavors or colors, non-GMO, and, gluten-free.    I don’t have to buy gluten-free for the entire family but when it comes to the kids, I do for one of them.

1. Comvita Kids™ Soothing Pops with Certified UMF™ 10+ Manuka Honey for Kids I Non-GMO, Gluten-Free

I’ve tried different soothing pops in the past for tickling throats but the kids didn’t like the flavors so I keep buying and trying until I find one they’ll like.  When they have a sore and scratchy throat, it’s often hard for me to get them to eat or drink right so lollipops are a good alternative.  If and when the kids get sick, I’ll update you on this product to see if they like it.  There are no artificial flavorings or colorings in these pops so I’m crossing my fingers it’s a hit.

2. Comvita Kids™ Soothing Manuka Honey Cough Syrup for Kids, Day-TIME I Certified UMF™ 10+ Manuka Honey I Non-GMO

One of the things that drew me to this product is the claim that kids love the orange taste. We all know what picky kids are like when they’re not sick, but when they are it definitely can make life harder when trying to get them to take medicine.  It’s got honey in it which is always good for soothing sore throats.  This product is also Non-GMO and Certified Gluten-Free.  When I have to use it, I’ll update on the taste and how the kids like it.

3. Comvita Kids™ Soothing Manuka Honey Cough Syrup for Kids, Night-TIME I Certified UMF™ 10+ Manuka Honey I Non-GMO

I might have a little bit harder time with this product simply because it’s grape flavored.  The grape-flavored RX’s they’ve had in the past was just horrible tasting in their opinion and I’m afraid they will associate that with this flavor.  I thought it was worth a try anyway because of the all of the vitamins in this as well as because it’s Non-GMO and Certified Gluten-Free.  It also has a dose of honey in it and I’ve had good results with honey in the past when it comes to cranky sick kids.

As I continue to stock my first aid kit, I’ll share my choices on here so be sure to sign up for my newsletter so you don’t miss any of the posts.
