5 things I bought February 2019 that I don’t regret

It’s hard to wrap my head around the fact that not only is it now 2019, but 2 months have also flown by. The older I get the faster time flies. Like I did in January, I’d like to share 5 things I bought February 2019 that I don’t regret.

The first is some Ikea decking tiles. There are very few things I don’t like about my new apartment but the back patio is one of those few things. It stays wet unlike I’ve ever seen concrete do before. After googling reasons why, I realized that I would either have to overlook it, or change it. I changed it. Peanut and Chelsea were forever playing outdoors and walking thru the wet concrete to come inside and for a clean freak like yours truly, it became a never-ending chore trying to clean behind them. Well no more. The tiles have taken care of the wet problem and it’s now a place I will enjoy. I bought 10 packs of tiles with the intent to use what was left over as a little mock patio for my glider chair in my yard. I’ve since decided to save them to use on my front patio which is about twice my back patio size for when I buy the remaining tiles. I painted the trim around my doors, I am going to tackle repainting my doors this week as well. Next, I will replace the melted siding (the previous owner was cooking and fell asleep so there was a massive fire here) and buy a cute outdoor table and chair set that I can use my laptop on to work on during the warm months. Price $200 plus tax plus shipping.

Before (so embarrassed about how this looks)

The next thing I love to pieces is 3 (affiliate link) garden planter boxes with attached trellis. I added these on my back patio before I even decided to purchase the decking tiles, to give me some privacy and shade. I have 2 jasmine plants growing in each of them, 1 is a fast-growing plant that doesn’t bloom very long, and the other is a super blooming jewel. It will bloom from early spring thru late fall. I plan to plant all fragrant vines on my back fence, but that’s a whole other post. The boxes were super easy to assemble, I did it myself and if you know me, that means it was super easy. Me and power tools do not mix very well, without some help. Approx $51 each.

The third purchase I made was for some (affiliate link) Himalayan salt lamp night lights. I’m always looking for products (including plants) that will help clean the air in our home and soothe allergies. We all have allergies but none like Abby does. She’s allergic to so many things, it’s like she’s allergic to being allergic. I’ve got salt lamps all around my home so I was really excited to find this two pack of salt lamp night lights to put near her bed. They were under $10 and I think that’s an amazing price.

The fourth purchase I made that I also love (better than ice cream) is a simple (affiliate link) 3 tier macrame planter. Not everyone in my family loves macrame planters as much I do, and I really do, but that’s okay, I buy them anyway. They are so boho. And in case you can’t tell that from the name of my site, I love boho any and everything. This is an inexpensive planter which was less than $10 which I think is amazing for a long, 70-inch plant hanger. I’ve ordered the third plant for it but it’s not arrived yet.

And the last is certainly not the least because as well all know, I love coffee. I’ve tried just about every kind of K-cup variety there is but for some reason, I had not tried (affiliate link) Maxwell House Breakfast Blend Coffee. I was fixing to order my go-to brand when I saw this brand under similar items. Because it was about $10 less than my go-to brand, I decided to try it. And I love it so much. It’s a really smooth flavor but that doesn’t mean it’s bland in the least bit. I will be buying more of this because for the price per K-cup (.33) it’s a great deal.
