I don’t know why at this point in my life I’m not a vegan. I could live off of vegetables. Happily. I have cut out meat to several times a week from having it several times a day so I’m working my way towards a healthier lifestyle, I’m just not there yet.
From an early age, I can remember preferring salads to just about any other food. So, I’ve been replacing my meats with healthy salads.
Tuna salads…
And my favorite, good ole garden salads.
Even before the pandemic hit, I’ve been ordering about 75+% of my meals and household supplies online due to my disabilities. My spine collapsed and my back surgery failed. So, I am always looking for the best foods and deals that I can order that can be delivered to my door.
During a recent google search on zero-calorie, zero sugar salad dressing, I saw some Walden Farms dressings, and noticed that I could buy them at Walmart, Amazon, and even at Walden Farms website. I decided to check them out and I’m so glad I did.
I make salads for just about every meal when I have family or friends over for dinner because they’re healthy and because it’s an easy side dish to make. Salads go with just about anything.
What I noticed right away about the Dressings, Vinaigrettes & Marinades, is how many different types they have all in one place. I can buy the same brand for every person who may like a different type. Another thing I learned is that they don’t add calories, carbs, and fats to the dressings. What they do add is natural flavors, delicious blends of herbs and spices, and the finest vinegars.
I decided to try half a dozen of the flavors we love most and now I’ve got to try the others. Because this dressing has so much flavor, it really adds to salads instead of taking away from them. And of course, they’re not just for salads.
There is a reason I’ve been hunting salad dressings that I can order online. Before the holidays, I need to get in the habit of eating healthier. I’m not sure how long I can keep it up but for as long as I can, I’m going to have salad for lunch every day. I don’t want to get bored with salads so I’ll be making them different every day. And, I’ll be trying all of the different flavors of Walden Farms dressing. If you want to take a salad-a-day challenge with me, be sure to let me know in the comments and maybe we can give each other salad inspirations.
I started a container garden of all sorts of salad goodies so I can have fresh vegetables when it’s time to harvest the goods. I’ll be posting about that soon, so be sure to sign up for my newsletter.
