Rice Pudding & Minute® Ready to Serve Rice
This post is brought to you by Minute® Ready to Serve Rice and Shabby Chic Boho.
I am recovering from the flu/bronchitis/pneumonia and even though my body doesn’t want to cooperate, I still have meal preparations to get through. We eat a lot of rice and not just because it’s delicious and satisfying, but I’ve always heard that white foods (egg whites, baked potato, popcorn, rice… etc…) gives much needed energy, so, when I’m drained, like I have been from my month long illness, I cook more rice than normal. Rice is a really good source of complex carbohydrates (which basically means high fiber foods) which provides the “good” energy. Sugar boost = bad energy, lol.
Thanks to Minute® Ready to Serve Rice, I’ve cut down the time it takes to prepare my rice. That means less standing and stirring for me and trust me, right now, it’s worth everything to me as I’m trying to recover and get my strength back. I mentioned that I eat a lot of rice and by that I mean that I eat it with meals and even for a snack. In fact, I had a rice snack mid morning because I didn’t feel like I could even make it to lunch without heading back to bed. Of course I not only made it till lunch time but I’m still up and about, trying to get a little organized and caught up on things I haven’t been able to do.
I snuck a screenshot in (below) to show all of the Minute® Ready to Serve Rice flavors you can expect to find at your supermarket. I bought mine at Harveys but I’m sure you can find it wherever you shop. When I’m feeling better I’m going to check all of the supermarkets in our area to make sure they stock Minute® Ready to Serve Rice (if they don’t I’ll ask that they do) because it so easy to fix and the best part of all is that I don’t have to wash extra dishes from making it. I don’t even have to add water to it.
I’m trying to eat more wholesome foods this year because I put on a few pounds last year that I can’t seem to shed. I feel like I’m giving my body what it needs to kickstart a healthier New Year by eating Minute® Ready to Serve Rice. If you are looking for some great stir in ideas for your Minute® Ready to Serve Rice, check out the link provided. OR, try it with a little milk, butter and cinnamon for a delicious rice pudding.
