Some of you already know this but some of you may not. I’m disabled. In my former life, I was a nurse. Due to complications during an emergency surgery, my spine collapsed, sort of. I had extensive back surgery to try to repair it but it failed. I was bed bound for many years and it’s taken willpower that I didn’t know I had to get where I am today. Although I can do a few things I did before, there are many I can’t. Such as sitting for long periods, standing long, lifting, bending, running, etc. And pain rules my days and nights. That’s the short version. There are days when just a trip to the grocery store isn’t possible. For this reason or maybe all of these reasons, I do 90% of my shopping online. Because I do so much of my shopping online, shipping can become really expensive. For that reason, when I find sites that offer free shipping, it feels like a gift. And I have. Found a site that offers free shipping that is; https://www.getbutcherbox.com/. There are many other reasons to buy your meats, online. Convenience for one. We live in a fast-paced world and there doesn’t seem to be enough hours in the day to get everything done that we want to accomplish. Saving a trip to the butcher shop or the grocery store just makes sense to me.
Finding a site that not only offers free shipping but offers healthy meats wasn’t easy, especially on my budget. Butcher Box does all that and more. For $6.50 per meal. Lucky me, I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to receive a free sample of one of their boxes. What I received was 100% Grass-fed Beef, Organic/Pastured Chicken, and Heritage Breed Pork. For a low price, I can now get All Natural 100% grass-fed beef delivered to my door.
Check out my selections. Keep in mind that there are 5 different options to choose from in the event my selection wouldn’t be your choice.
8 juicy and delicious meats for one low price!!!
That’s a whole lot of Natural & Organic goodness, wouldn’t you agree?
I cooked a couple of my selections over the weekend and I have to say that the meat tastes every bit as good as I knew it would. I married a farmer so I know first hand that grass fed cows produce the truest tasting meats. We practiced organic farming with not only our meats but fruits and vegetables as well. I want the best for my family because I want them to live a long and healthy life. I plan to live forever. So far so good *wink*. Teaching the kids how to eat healthy is part of my helping them acheive a long life. That’s why it’s important to buy from companies like Butcher Box when it comes to my meat selections.
The bacon was to die for. It tastes like bacon should. If you’ve ever had bacon with a real strong, not great taste, chances are your bacon was from an old boar hog and it’s the bacon I try to avoid. I didn’t get that with Butcher Box. The bacon truly was some of the best I’ve ever had. Peanut wouldn’t move from the stove while I cooked it. I had to give him a taste, although I didn’t give him much. He was just so pitiful waiting, lol.
I also fixed hamburgers one night. We gulped them down and there wasn’t a morsel left, except for a few little bites I saved for Peanut. Talk about a juicy hamburger. Tonight, we’re having the organic chicken.
