How To Set Up Your New Shop, GoCentral

Thank you, GoDaddy for sponsoring this post. Get started on building your own website with GoCentral today!

I’m an avid crocheter and have been since I was a young child,  I used to watch my mom crochet and I picked it up at an early age.   I always have a crochet hook and yarn in my hands when I’m at home. In fact, I just put my latest project down that I’m making, so I could type this. Crocheting helps me relax and as someone who suffers from chronic pain, it’s important that I have a hobby that takes my mind off of the pain. When I’m crocheting and counting my stitches, everything else in the world just gets put on the back burner. It’s a great stress reliever and the best way I’ve found to lower my pain level.

Although I have been making items for years with my trusty crochet hook and beautiful colored yarn, I’ve never thought about selling my chunky throws and blankets before. Until now. I have decided to see how I will do with a side hustle to earn a little income. Thanks to Godaddy’s GoCentral option, I set up my shop in a few minutes.  Yes, you read that right. Mere minutes. So yea, check out my new shop; Boho Handmade Crochet Products.  Over the next year, I’ll be adding more products and I’m really excited about making some money from doing something that comes as natural to me as breathing. And you know what?  That’s exactly how easy setting up my GoDaddy GoCentral website was.  I followed the instructions and just like that, my new shop was set up and ready to make sales.

For a short time, I’m offering a sale on my couch throws. Be sure to check it out and I’ll keep my link at the very top of this website in case you want to check it out later. Each one is made to order and takes several weeks to complete.

  1. I learned to crochet as a child as well. I saw my third grade teacher crocheting at recess one day and watched her for the whole period. She told me if I would bring in a crochet hook and some yarn, she would teach me how. So that week I used my allowance to buy what she suggested and by the following weekend, I was crocheting. I was just nine, so I taught my daughter when she was none as well.

  2. This is my first time hearing about Godaddy’s GoCentral, but it sounds great! I’ll have to tell my mom about this since she has been thinking about opening an online store.

  3. I think this sounds like a great way to have a website. I need to share it with a few others. I know some pretty crafty people, and this would be wonderful for them.

  4. Now setting up an online store would be easy-peasy. I’d like to give it some time to set up a store, I’ve been wanting to have one!

  5. I have a small online business selling my moms handmade Waldorf dolls and I also sell great hybrid baby carriers from Europe, even though I am based in Canada :) I love my little side business while I stay home with our kids. My mom is also amazing at crochet.

  6. Friend and I are in the process of trying to start a side hustle. There is a lot of questions that we need to answer in one of them is this. We need a website but we don’t have a lot of money to spend. This will be a good steppingstone to where we want to go.

  7. My mother in law taught me how to crochet when I was pregnant with my first daughter! I love that GoCentral has this available for people like her who wouldn’t even know where to start designing a website!
