Proactiv+ Review {sponsored}

“I participated in an Influencer Activation Program on behalf of Influence-Central for Proacitv+. I received samples of Proactiv+ to facilitate my review and a thank you item for participating.

Since my teen years, I have struggled with acne and it’s really embarrassing especially at my age. Well, I’ve had it. I’m fed up with acne. I am at the point where I want to get rid of it once and for all. I have tried a million different products over the years and some worked for awhile and some didn’t work at all.

I’ve heard a lot of amazing things about Proactiv+ but I’ve been hesitant about trying it because sometimes I forget to do things. Brain fog. What I heard about this product that kept me from trying it is that if you don’t use it daily, you won’t get results. Not true for me. Of course to get results from anything, you need to use it consistently. Missing here and there is not the same as say, only using it once a day when it recommends twice daily use. Since I’ve tried everything else, I decided what the heck and I gave in and decided to try a few of the products based on what I read which is that Proactiv+ treats blocked pores and buildup of bacteria. After all, if I can focus on these two symptoms, I could finally be rid of acne.

I missed some treatments like I said and like I knew I would. Not many, but some. I forgot or got busy. It happens. What I wasn’t expecting is that it did not affect my use of Proactiv+. I didn’t skip enough to stop the product from working and because it’s a mild product, I’ve not even had any side effects from using it. If I knew now what I knew then, I’d of made the decision to try Proactiv+ long before now. I still have the occasional bump but overall, my face is about 80% acne free now.

Please check out my little video.

What I’m using:
Three steps, two x a day.

1. Skin Smoothing Exfoliator
The exfoliator is for cleansing. We all need to cleanse our skin to get rid of the impurities from oil, dirt and everything else that’s in the air.

2. Pore Targeting Treatment
This treatment is to treat of course. It kills the bacteria with it’s twice a day application.

3. Complexion Perfecting Hydrator
This product is to help with repairing your skin. It soothes, brightens and reduces post acne scars.

Bonus:
Skin Purifying Mask

Since I’ve started using Proactiv+, several of my family members and friends have asked if I recommend one of these products over the other and I tell them the same thing I’m going to tell you. I don’t know if one works singularly or not as I’m using all of them and for that reason I recommend using all of the products because it’s what’s giving me the results I was seeking. Before using Proactiv+, I would NEVER in a million years consider going without my makeup for even an hour.

When I made the decision to start using Proactiv+, I did a search on YouTube to find some easy to follow directions and I watched this video which I want to share with you. I tried to make my own video but for whatever reason, I can’t get it to upload from my camera to the computer :).

Be sure to let me know if you decide to buy and use Proactive+. You can go on your own acne free journey. Connect with Proactiv+ on Facebook.

Whenever I get my period, I start gtenitg really bad breakouts, they continue to happen about 10 days after my period stops, and this has happened ever since I was 12. I always tried a million things for it, including Proactiv, and they all sucked, and barely did a thing to help. But a month ago, I went to a new dermatologist, and he gave me a pill called Pantothen to try and a topical treatment called Aczone, and put together it’s like freaking magic! Ever since trying them, i’ve only had two small bumps on my cheeks during my period. I definitely recommend you try these.

I’ve always seen the proactiv commercials on TV but always wondered if it really worked. Thank you for your excellent review! I will check out the product! I love the packaging on the product as well, the white and turquoise blue are so pretty paired together! Thank you so much for sharing!

I’ve tried this before! It’s very effective especially to hopeless cases during teenage years. But, it’s a bit expensive though.

Proactiv was a lifesaver for me in high school. I had terrible acne and started using it (after going through a ton of products prescribed by a dermatologist), and it worked almost immediately. I know that’s not everyone’s experience, but it was mine. I actually still use the daily face wash to exfoliate a few times a week, but I’ve been trying to figure out if I’m going to buy it after this bottle runs out (not a huge fan of the autoship program, and I canceled that). I’m interested to try their new stuff though!

Wow! I had no idea they rebraned! I love the new look. I used the products a bit when I was in high school, but I haven’t thought about giving them a try again! My skin is pretty clear, but from time to time I get some really nasty breakouts!

Proactiv has changed since I last saw it…the packaging I mean. When I was in college, my roommate swore by it and it really did work wonders for her. She gave me the Green Tea (mask) or something along those lines to try out…maybe it was a astringent or something…but it worked on me (and smelled good). It looks like they have added new products to their lineup.

Did you find that the whole system dried the skin on your face too much? I have really sensitive skin and whenever I use these products I always feel dry! I like the new product design. Maybe the new formula would be better suited to my skin!

Thank you for sharing such a great in depth review. I’ve never used proactive, but know people who have had amazing results with it. I may have to try their new formula, I am always so nervous because I have such sensitive skin and I don’t want to make it worse! Thanks for including the video, if I do take the plunge I’ll be back again to watch it thoroughly! :)

wow they completely rebranded. I used to use proactiv in high school and definitely had acne issues back then. I think I still get it every so often when I’m constantly changing climates during travel or if I don’t get much sleep. But it’s no fun having to deal with it.

I used to use proactive in college and I really started to not like it. It didn’t really do anything for my face! I’m glad they re-did the formula. I’ve got to try the new version and see if I like it!
