Terri Ramsey Beavers It’s almost time to get your spook on and today I have some fun suggestions to give for Halloween instead of a traditional candy bag in a bright orange plastic pumpkin. I do hand out the traditional candy to the neighborhood kids but I also try to include other fun alternatives as well, for some of them as well as my own kids. They would rather have toys than anything.
I recently discovered a couple of toys that would make great gifts this haunted season. While they’d make great Halloween gifts, don’t exclude them from your Christmas gift list because I imagine any little girl or boy would be happy to open these on Christmas day.
First up is the Rainbow Gummy Candy Lab
This is one of the neighborhood kid’s all-time favorite toys now. They just moved into the neighborhood and I thought I’d give their mom a break while she unpacks, and give the kids something fun to do. We’ve had a lot of rainy weather so I picked a rainy day to call them over to pick it up. This sweet little girl volunteered to test this fun slime lab and she gave it a big thumbs up.

My favorite subject in school was science so I always lean towards science experiments when it comes to toys. I believe in encouraging kids to put down their devices and to use their imagination.
