Toy Options for Halloween Thames & Kosmos

It’s almost time to get your spook on and today I have some fun suggestions to give for Halloween instead of a traditional candy bag in a bright orange plastic pumpkin.  I do hand out the traditional candy to the neighborhood kids but I also try to include other fun alternatives as well, for some of them as well as my own kids. They would rather have toys than anything.

I recently discovered a couple of toys that would make great gifts this haunted season. While they’d make great Halloween gifts, don’t exclude them from your Christmas gift list because I imagine any little girl or boy would be happy to open these on Christmas day.

First up is the Rainbow Gummy Candy Lab

This Sweet Science STEM Experiment Kit allows kids 6+ to make their own gummy candies.  It includes a full 16-page manual, and all food ingredients to create 5 experiments, and if you make a purchase using my link, you can get this on Amazon Prime, next day delivery.

My next suggestion is the Ooze Labs: Alien Slime Lab.

This is one of the neighborhood kid’s all-time favorite toys now.  They just moved into the neighborhood and I thought I’d give their mom a break while she unpacks, and give the kids something fun to do. We’ve had a lot of rainy weather so I picked a rainy day to call them over to pick it up.  This sweet little girl volunteered to test this fun slime lab and she gave it a big thumbs up.

As above, if you make a purchase using my link, you can get free overnight shipping on this toy using Amazon Prime.

My favorite subject in school was science so I always lean towards science experiments when it comes to toys.  I believe in encouraging kids to put down their devices and to use their imagination.  Thames & Kosmos knows how to make that happen. If you’re not familiar with Thames & Kosmos, let me give you a little bio.  This company was founded in 2001 by a science museum director and her son.  They wanted to meet the demand they saw for the need for better science educational material.  You can visit them on https://www.thamesandkosmos.com to see what all they have to offer.

Be sure to follow them on Facebook to stay up to date on new products and promotions.
