Save a tree with Emerald Tree-Free tissue products #shoplet @Shoplet

This is the time of year when everyone I know has the sniffles and many I don’t know. I pack along my hand sanitizer where ever I go and use it often while I’m shopping. I for one, don’t want to get sick. I especially don’t want to catch something and pass it along to my family. But it happens. Sooner or later I catch the dreaded winter cold or worse. When that happens, I reach for my Tree-Free tissue products. Keep reading to see how you can save a tree with a cold by switching to Emerald Brand.

Emerald Brand “utilizes agricultural by-products; sugarcane bagasse and wheat straw which are traditionally burned after extraction and turns them into the high-quality paper products instead of cutting down our hardwood trees.” Not only will you be helping to save a tree when you buy Emerald Brand products, you’ll be helping local communities who would otherwise be breathing in the smoke that comes along with burning sugarcane bagasse and wheat straw. Your environmentally conscious purchase is helping to save our planet and your septic tank.

I received a roll of Tree-Free bath tissue, a box of Tree-Free kleenex and a pack of Tree-Free pocket sized facial tissue for my handbag, from Shoplet, for review purposes. It’s no secret here on Shabby Chic Boho that I’m a fan of Shoplet office supplies. They sell everything from janitorial supplies to medical supplies as well.

Backing up to the Tree-Free bath tissue. I still can’t believe how soft AND strong this bath tissue is considering it’s made from farming by-products. I guess I wasn’t really sure what to expect when my package arrived but it’s been an eye-opener for me as I try to buy environmentally conscious purchases when able. The bath tissue is suitable for every day use and it looks great too. It’s 2 ply giving it the strong feature while keeping it soft enough for any baby’s bottom. In fact it’s so soft, that you can see the softness in my photos.

As I mentioned previously, I also received a box of Emerald Brand’s Boutique Box Tree-Free Facial Tissue. It’s so handy to have during any season but especially during flu season. It’s also made with agricultural by-products, more specifically bagasse, bamboo, eucalyptus. As with my bath tissue photos, you can see the softness in the facial tissue as well. It’s strong as well as being soft. I’ve been wiping Abby’s nose with it and she’s yet to have a red, dry, nose as happens with some facial tissues. It’s tackling her needs and she’s certainly thankful for the softness.

I love this! We’ve been so hard on our environment for so long. If there’s a way to make products we need in a new, environmentally friendly way, I’m all over it.

I have never heard of this brand before. We love to try new products, especially when they are super soft. My kids are quite picky when it comes to tissues and toilet paper!

I love any product who’s concept is to take care of the earth! My kids have no concept about how much tissue to use and they are always so wasteful!! I remind them all the time about how trees are cut down so they can have tissues – and that seems to help them rationalize why they shouldn’t be so wasteful.bb

I love that they aren’t made out of trees, any chance to save a tree I think is great as long as they are soft on my nose during cold season.
