As many of you already know, before I became a full-time SAH lifestyle blogger, I was a nurse. Before I was a nurse, I was a carefree young adult without a care in the world. I spent my weekends on the water, I soaked up the sun for hours at a time, and I even spent hours in the sun with my gardens.
After I became a nurse is when reality kicked in for me. All of the years of the unprotected sun were starting to weigh heavily on my mind. The more I learned about skin cancer and wrinkles, and even age spots, the more I regretted my carefree attitude. Now that I’m a SAH blogger, I’ve had a chance to try and review many different kinds of skincare products. I’ve also heard about some from other bloggers that I purchased to try.
With all of this in mind, I’ve created a list of 3 of my top favorite sunscreen products I think everyone should buy and use religiously, without fail.
Do not make the same mistakes that I did. Take the 3 product skincare challenge with me.
Start protecting your skin today with moisturizers and sunblocks. It is never too late to start unless it is. Meaning, when life on earth is at its end. Make a pact with me to take care of your skin and I guarantee it, you won’t have the same regrets I do when I look in the mirror.
Tomorrow is national picnic day. As you kick off your fun in the sun activities, don’t forget your skin. I can’t stress this enough.
I’ve compiled a list of 3 products you need to have on you before you step outdoors. By on you, I mean applied, dried, and protected from the sun.
1. Sun Patch Peel + Stick Sunblock
Sun Patch under-eye reusable patches provide Ultraviolet protection and face sunscreen. The reason I’m recommending these is for those times when you’re going to be outdoors for an extended period of time. While lotions and creams wear off, these waterproof and sweatproof patches keep working to provide ultimate protection.
And ladies… they’re cute. They come in different neon colors so you can match them to your swimwear or match your swimwear to your patches. These patches are made with a non-toxic hypoallergenic silicone and are non-toxic to oceans.
2. SunPlus Sunscreen
SunPlus is a face and body sunscreen with SPF 40 for everyday outdoor activities and 45 for sports-related activities. I’m adding his product to my must-have list because it is so nourishing, it makes your skin feel luxurious even when you’re working up a sweat.
This sunscreen, not only provides protection against harmful UV rays it also protects against pollutants in the air. It rubs in clear with no harmful chemicals. Plus, it’s vegan and cruelty-free.
3. Spa Technologies Eco Defense Daily Moisturize
Last on my list is Spa Technologies eco defense daily moisturize. When you use this along with the other above-mentioned sun protection products, it helps provide extra protection against sunburn, skin cancers, and other signs of sun exposure skin aging.
We hear a lot about climate change in the news and with that comes fluctuating temperatures as well as decreased moisture in the air. When the air is dryer so is our skin. These past couple of years I’ve noticed a marked dryness around my neck and decadent area. We need to provide more moisture and added skin protection against the weather, the sun, and just as an all-around balance of our dryness.
I encourage you to try these 3 sun care products with me, not just during the summer months, but year-round as well. If you’re taking the 3 product challenge with me this year, please let me know so we can compare notes.
