I’ve been known to get into the Halloween candy I hand out to all the neighborhood kids, before, during, and after Halloween has come and gone.  I have a sweet tooth.

Haloween is usually when I start putting on my winter pounds.

Then comes pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving.  Every year I’m able to convince myself that pumpkin is a fruit, therefore pumpkin pie is healthy, even when I top it off with way too much, whipped topping.

Following that, Christmas appears and that’s when I start all of my baking for friends and family.  I love to get in the kitchen and make everyone’s favorite goodies.  The problem with that is I sample everything I bake.

It’s probably obvious that I don’t seem to have any self-control when it comes to sweets.

This year I’ve already got several measures in place to try and keep those pounds off.

For instance, I just got a new Cubii JR1 to use when I’m sitting and my computer and blogging, or, working on product reviews, or even just watching movies.

I’ve also been taking ACTIVE-PK which are supplements that are helping me to convert nutrients into usable energy.  These supplements tackle several problem areas for me such as they help combat abdominal fat.  One of the biggest things with these supplements that I notices right away is that they started to boost natural energy right away.  They also promote clearer thinking, help minimize cravings, and support a strong, slimmer-feeling body.

This product is simple to take.  I take 2 capsules on an empty stomach with 8 oz of water every morning when I start my day.  It’s helping me to get more water into my day as well.

I also recently started a container garden to encourage more salads and less calories, which are full of fresh vegetables to eat over the holidays.  I live in an apartment so I can’t plant a full garden and I’m finding that even with limited yard space, it’s very easy to grow fruits and vegetables in containers.

I can’t go to the gym and work out due to failed back surgery and limited mobility so I have to try other measures to keep my weight down.  If you don’t have time for a workout, a hike, or a jog, I hope my suggestions will help you in your quest for a healthier you, even during the holidays.
