Terri Ramsey Beavers I love to cook, even when life is crazy busy, I still try to prepare healthy meals for my family. I believe that by starting the kids off young, with healthy meals, it will instill lifelong healthy habits that they will one day share with their families well.
As soon as my kids were born, they started cooking with me. I would put them in their carriers and I would talk to them while I cooked. When they began to walk, I would sit them in their highchair while I cooked and began letting them help me with stirring dishes and doing little things so they felt like they were helping. When they began to read, I started buying them children’s cookbooks. Cooking is our time to connect and I feel like it’s important that while we are connecting that I teach them what I want them to learn.
