As you know by now, I moved in October of last year and I’ve not stopped decorating since.   I wanted a larger place with extra rooms that I could fix up for the grandkids when they come to visit.  I now have a combo of youth and teens.  My new bachelorette pad has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.   It seems to be triple in size compared to my last apartment.  I tried the tiny living faze by downsizing but that was a disaster.  I just couldn’t embrace it with the enthusiasm I had going into it.  I had one closet versus the 7  I have now.  And they’re all full but that’s a whole other post.

I wanted to fix a room for the girls first because they’re here more than Tyler who now has a vehicle, is driving, and working part-time (if that doesn’t make me feel old, nothing will).  I couldn’t really decide on the color scheme for their rooms so I started doing some research on Pinterest for teen rooms. I bought the beds first and then I decided to buy a new évolur rug and pull colors out of it for the decor.  That worked perfectly. They’re rarely here at the same time so I could have gotten away with one bed but I wanted them to have their own bed and to know it was only theirs. I love how everything is coming together and the kids really love the rug.  It’s soft, it’s silky, it makes a great hang out place when they’re hanging out in their new room. I think it’s their favorite thing in the room.

I have gotten so many compliments on my new rug that I’m searching for one for the next bedroom, or teencave as Tyler likes to call it.  They have rugs for babyhood and beyond at an affordable price so it will not break my bank to buy another one. I was really surprised to learn that they also now have a brand new évolur Home Collections which includes cribs and mattresses, twin and full-size beds, in case you’re in the market. My baby days are definitely over, lol.  If you’re not in the market for baby furniture but love unique decor, be sure to check out all of the rugs they have available. I always recommend this company for their rugs to friends and family members because it’s fun to have rugs that no one else has seen before which becomes a focal point in any room.

I’m going to share some photos of the bedroom I am working on and when it’s complete, I’ll post updated photos on this post. Be sure to bookmark it and keep checking back. I got in some wall decals today that I ordered from Etsy and I plan to put them up sometime this week. I’m obsessed with wall decals. It’s an easy way to add eye candy without putting holes in my walls.

The rug I purchased is called Spilled Flowers.  Don’t you love it?
